Commerical and Campaign for CDTA’s fleet
The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is a cornerstone of mobility in Albany, New York. In just a few years, they’ve transformed the region’s transit landscape by introducing faster bus routes, real-time tracking, electric buses, and launching a successful bike and scooter share program. With a newly expanded fleet and sleek new scooters hitting the streets, CDTA was eager to show off their progress. They weren’t just proud, they were ready to make a statement with a bold new animated brand spot and social campaign designed to celebrate and spotlight these major upgrades.

My Role
I transformed CDTA’s impressive fleet into a vibrant storybook animation. To bring this look to life, I sourced images from both stock libraries and CDTA’s own photo archive. After carefully selecting the right photos, I isolated key elements and applied stylized effects to match the whimsical aesthetic. Each scene was built by layering these images together, creating a cohesive animated world. Throughout the process, I had to consider how each element would enter, move within, and exit the frame to ensure smooth and intentional transitions.

Isolated images
Here are a few of the isolated images that were essential to building the final commercial. Each object, carefully cut out from stock or original photos which served as a key visual element within the animated scenes. These assets were layered, stylized, and animated to bring CDTA’s fleet and services to life in a unique, storybook-inspired world.

From storyboard to final scenes
This comparison showcases how each planned element was brought to life, evolving from rough cutouts into a fully animated, stylized scenes. It’s a great way to see how our creative direction remained consistent while adding layers of depth, motion, and visual polish in the final output.

Out of home ads
In addition to the animated commercial, we developed a full suite of supporting materials including billboards, print ads, and social media content to extend the reach of the campaign and create a unified visual experience across all platforms.
