The Project

 

Their fleet is mighty. lets brag about it.

Capital District Transportation Authority, or as everyone knows them, CDTA, is an icon in the capital district. They’ve already introduced the capital region commuters to faster bus routes, better tracking, and electric buses. They brought a bike share and scooter program to the region and in just a few years. They were proud of their work and wanted to brag about it with a new brand spot.

Sourcing Photos

The key element in making this spot successful was finding the right photos. I had to think about how each photo would be cut out and incorporated. I ended up using a variety of stock photos along with client photography.

Assembling the scenes

With photos selected, the next step was delicately cutting out each individual bike, person, or building. After each asset was cut out I created the halftone effect along with a variety of other techniques set up by my art director. To give them the feel of a pop-up book we added a white border to each photo.

Social Media

Bringing awareness to social.

I was also tasked with creating a variety of social ads for CDTA. The ads mimic the look and feel of the commercial.
